We had the pleasure of visiting Seasonal Outdoor Services Ltd in Derry, one of our valued customers. Established in 2018, Seasonal Outdoor Services Ltd has been using TimeKeeper since 2021. The company specialises in providing environmental and infrastructure maintenance services to both public and private sector clients across Ireland. Founder & Owner, Jack Heaney, shares the value TimeKeeper has brought to their operations below.

What solution did you have in place before TimeKeeper?

Prior to adopting TimeKeeper, Jack and his team "loosely trialled a couple of different software packages but didn't find anything that suited and was flexible enough." Before exploring software options, S.O.S. relied on paper timesheets, which Jack described as "a disaster from the get-go." The paper-based system proved to be highly inefficient, with timesheets often becoming "illegible, forgotten, lost, or left in the back of the van for two weeks." Seeking a solution, a business consultant recommended TimeKeeper to S.O.S. He had seen TimeKeeper in action at other companies and suggested they give it a try, believing it could provide the reliability and flexibility they were looking for.

How would you describe the process of implementing TimeKeeper and tailoring it to your needs?

The process of implementing TimeKeeper was smooth. S.O.S began by completing the free two-week trial, which was "very helpful to find out what the software could do for us before we committed to any contracts or financial obligations." It gave S.O.S the flexibility to test out different features and workflows, ensuring the system aligned with their specific needs. Jack added "also the staff at TimeKeeper are really responsive to any queries about it. We know we can send a message and hear back that day at the very latest. If not, within an hour."

As a result of using TimeKeeper, what has been the greatest impact?

"By implementing TimeKeeper within the business, we've noticed a massive saving in admin time". TimeKeeper has streamlined many of Seasonal Outdoor Services processes, reducing the time spent managing timesheets, holiday accruals, and payroll. With everything now automated, gone are the days sorting through paper timesheets or manually calculating hours worked. There's also been "less errors between hours getting mixed up and misunderstandings with holiday accrual as well".

Would you recommend TimeKeeper to other companies?

"If another company was considering implementing TimeKeeper, we'd be more than happy to recommend it to them. It's been great for us - we've been using it for a number of years and have no plans on changing it any time soon."
